SINGLE StEP Phenyl Flash Column

SINGLE StEP Columns (patented) represent an innovative step forward in chromatography. SINGLE StEP Columns (patented) allow for a simple screw top column that can be used for liquid or dry loading by opening the cap and pouring in liquid or dropping in dry material. The columns are a universal fit for all different flash instruments. Phenyl columns are a good choice to compare with other reverse phase columns for separation.

Like C18 Columns, Phenyl columns operate under reverse phase conditions, i.e., 100% Water → 100% Acetonitrile (reverse phase conditions with increasing solvent phase polarity). As a general guideline, compounds will show higher retention times than C18 columns. Mechanism of action: weak pi-pi interactions, thereby effecting separation between aromatics and compounds with amino-acid functionalities.

Phenyl columns are also available in a variety of sizes, ranging from 4.7gram to 353gram. They can be loaded up to 10% of stationary phase weight. Our Phenyl columns can be re-used up to 20 times!
