SINGLE StEP E. Merck Silica Flash Column

SINGLE StEP Flash Columns (patented) represent an innovative step forward in chromatography. SINGLE StEP Flash Columns (patented) allow for a simple screw top column that can be used for liquid or dry loading by opening the cap and pouring in liquid or dropping in dry material. The columns are a universal fit for all different flash instruments. E. Merck silica columns will match the E. Merck or Merck KGA TLC plates.

These columns are designed to match separation profiles as obtained on TLC plates using E. Merck silica or Merck KGA TLC plates. As with Standard Silica Columns, these columns operate under normal phase separations, i.e., 100% Hexane → 100% Ethyl Acetate (normal phase going from non-polar to increasing polarity). These columns are available in a variety of sizes, ranging from 4g to 300g. General guideline for compound loading is 5% of silica weight.
