SINGLE StEP Cyano Flash Column

SINGLE StEP Columns (patented) represent an innovative step forward in chromatography. SINGLE StEP Columns (patented) allow for a simple screw top column that can be used for liquid or dry loading by opening the cap and pouring in liquid or dropping in dry material. The columns are a universal fit for all different flash instruments. Cyano columns are good for Boronic Acids and are a good alternative for silica because of its alternative compound selectivity.

Cyano Flash Columns operate under normal phase conditions. i.e., 100% Hexane → 100% Ethyl Acetate (normal phase going from non-polar to increasing polarity). As a general rule-of-thumb, compounds will elute significantly faster on these columns as compared to standard silica columns. Mechanism of action: weak pi-pi bonds, thereby effecting separation between aromatics and compounds with higher pi interactions (carbon-carbon double bonds). Solvent systems are the same as for Standard Silica columns.

We offer Cyano TLC plates to screen for profile matching. Our cyano columns can be re-used up to 20 times! General guideline for compound loading is 10% of material weight. Cyano columns are also available in a variety of sizes, ranging from 4.7gram to 353gram.
