The SINGLE StEP™ columns are versatile enough to be used on any machine. SINGLE StEP columns are clear, so that one may see their bands or attach to a UV detector. The SINGLE StEP columns have luer fittings which allow for attachment to any machine including: Biotage®, Isco®, SINGLE StEP Pump units, etc. SINGLE StEP columns fit onto all Horizons , SPD-1™ and SPD-4™ by luer fittings. This eliminates the need for compression fittings. SINGLE StEP columns have an added advantage by allowing direct injection as close to the sorbent bed as possible, either by liquid or dry loading directly onto the column. SINGLE StEP columns are easy to use whether you have expensive equipment or  you are just starting a lab.

The SINGLE StEP™ columns allow for liquid or dry loading directly to the column. SINGLE StEP columns can be liquid loaded easily by pouring the material on top of the column, then placing on the cap, and taking a 10mL-20mL (plastic) syringe and pushing the liquid onto the column. Scientists also allow for more polar loading solvents such as a DCM-Methanol to evaporate by allowing the column to air dry in the hood. This is suggested to avoid streaking when starting with Hexane or less polar solvents. Dry loading has been simplified for the Isco by the SINGLE StEP columns. Because you do not need a 2nd column on top, which can cause precipitation in the line, and can cause a system “Crash”. SINGLE StEP columns avoid this by having Direct Injection. SINGLE StEP columns have served as robust columns that can be used on many different types of machines for any Flash or MPLC need
