| The instrument consists of a
rectangular gas distribution system mounted on a frame
and stand assembly. Test tubes are loaded in batches of
49 or 100 in a square stainless steel rack. Each row and
column is numbered. The gas at 10 to 15 psig passes
through an adjustable flow meter to the distribution
manifold. Each row of 7 or 10 is controlled by a valve.
Needles or glass pipets blow gas onto the surface of the
solution resulting in rapid evaporation of the solvent. All materials used are laboratory quality and can withstand contact with organic solvents. Acid resistant models are available for corrosive solutions. |
| The rectangular stainless steel water bath is thermostatically controlled and will accurately maintain water temperature from 30° to 70° C. It is equipped with a water-level device and a high-temperature limit switch. Also optional are an electrical GFCI plug and an intrinsically-safe purged case. The bath is UL/CUL approved for laboratory use. |
